hey .. just read your article . It was really informative . I was wondering if you could tell me about the borders i.e the Qatar - Saudi border & the Saudi - UAE border .
Are they fenced completely ? as in , are the whole border areas fenced ?
You’ve written a little something about watch towers & snipers when u entered Saudi Arabia . I’d like to know a little more about them too .

They are completely fenced, and I think you’d have to be completely insane to consider crossing these borders at any point other than the border crossings I don’t know if there were actually snipers hiding behind dunes, but there were indeed watchtowers along the long stretch of road between the borders. I wouldn’t doubt, either, than there are armed guards watching you along the way, though I didn’t actually see any with my own eyes. It does all feel very much like a movie, and out of my normal zone of experiences.
